If you find yourself subscribing to an ideology which either has a blind spot to the fact that humans are animals, or actively takes it on faith that humans can overcome their animal nature, you may be partaking in an irrational ideology.
Similarly, if you subscribe to an ideology that has a blind spot to the notion that humans are creatures optimized for life on Earth and assumes that somehow living beyond Earth is optimal, you may be partaking in an irrational ideology.
Finally, if you're going to participate in an irrational ideology, at least don't do so out of being tricked into thinking that it's rational. There is plenty of joy that can come about from the irrational, just make sure it works for you.
